Tim Bromage, Photo Greg Goodale
Tim Bromage works primarily in performance. His work utilises writing, storytelling, and magic as ways of talking about folk history and contemporary mythology.
Tim employs stage magic, costume, text, and props to create strange rituals. Placed within this context the magical effect becomes a mode of symbolic demonstration, creating fractured narratives that reference myths and history. His recent work has been informed by ongoing research into the role of the trickster figure as both raconteur and oral historian.
Tim Bromage studied performance on the Timebased Practice course at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Since graduating in 2004 he has performed to throughout the UK and abroad working with numerous organisations including,
Spill festival, LADA, Chapter Arts Centre, tactileBOSCH The Welcome Collection, Colchester Arts Centre, The National Theatre Studio, Made In Roath, and
