Nicole Morris’s installations incorporate film, sculpture, printmaking, textiles, ceramics and drawing to explore the relationship between domestic space and female identity.

Morris’s work considers different types of space, such as the gallery space or the space within an artwork. She is interested in the relationship between the body and architecture; how the relationship is navigated and explored within both the filmic construct as well as the actual space of viewing. Her new work, and the accompanying podcast, reflects Morris’s recent research into women, the home and domestic labour, reimagined through objects, environments and sounds.

Morris received an MA from the Slade School of Fine Art (2011). Recent exhibitions include: INGEST / digest / excrete, [Space], London (2018); Compressor Projects, London (2018); Sisters, Space In Between, London (2017); Girlfriend, National Gallery Prague, Czech Republic (2016); Caprice, Open Space, Baltimore, USA (2015); TTTT, Jerwood Space, London (2014); Young London, V22, London (2013); Quantum Leap, Embassy Gallery, Edinburgh and Malmö Konsthall, Sweden (2013).
