Daniel Pritchard, Beans, 2017
The embodiment of Daniel Pritchardís creative practice uses drawing, sculpture, video and performance to create surprising and amusing visual imagery, particularly focusing on childrenís consumption of television and film.
Danielís work concerns cultural stereotypes, incorporating modern societal issues from the role of the artist to toxic masculinity. He combines mundane cultural events and absurd occurrences in order to balance the opposing forces of solemnity and humour.
Daniel studied BA (Hons) Fine Art at Glyndwr University, Bangor and exhibited work at The Rat Trap 3
, Cathays Cons Club, Cardiff (2017), Made in Roath, Cardiff (2017) and Noddfa Festival
, Hendre Hall, Bangor (2017). In 2018, Pritchard received the Brian Ross Memorial Award
on behalf of the Arts Council of Wales.
