Through her practice Becca Thomas is largely concerned with the process of walking. She reflects on this subjective experience of the environment and communicates it through conversations, memory and writing. Her work is often barely visible and may not always be intended for an audience in the traditional sense, which she feels can help to preserve the authenticity of her artistic imperative.

Working with people is also a recurring theme. Becca organises social spaces and events to explore social dynamics. She also has an interest in collections, travel and a general enthusiasm for experience and the significance of personal history.

Becca also plays a key role in the coordination of festivals in Cardiff. Most recently she was Festival Coordinator for Cardiff Contemporary, an ambitious visual arts festival initiated by Cardiff Council, and also Coordinator for the madeinroath hyperlocal arts festival. She achieved a first class honours in Fine Art from University of Wales Institute, Cardiff in 2005.
