Isabelle Hayeur

b. 1969, Montreal

Isabelle Hayeur is a digital image artist who works mainly with photography, video and site specific installations. Through moving images and photography, Isabelle investigates environmental, urban planning and social concerns. Isabelle engages with altered landscapes, industrial sites and suburban areas, showing how our societies take over territories and adapt them to their own needs.

Isabelle studied for a BA and a MA in Fine Art from the Universite du Quebec a Montreal. She was a founding member of Perte de Signal, a collective dedicated to emerging media artists. Her work has been exhibited internationally, and features in collections such as the National Gallery of Canada, and the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago.
