A collection of short stories, Dolenni Hud, set alongside photographs by Simon Proffitt, followed in 2008. His first English-language novel, Intermission, will be published by Heinemann in 2013.

Owen has collaborated with Simon Proffitt in the past as two-thirds of the improvised electronic music group, Traw, as well as on Parallel Wales. A version of the work presented here was shown at The LAB, San Francisco, in 2008.

Born in Exeter, Owen grew up in Pontneddfechan, South Wales. He went to Aberystwyth and Oxford Universities, and then worked for a while as a sports reporter for the BBC. Owen was Wales Book of the Year Winner 2001 and short–listed for Wales Book of the Year in 2004.
