Claire Prosser, Windowsill Exchange Project, 2015
Claire Prosser uses a variety of artistic mediums to explore the alchemical properties of making and repetition. Prominently drawing on the processes of performance and text to explore how society perceives our tangible environment.
Most recently working with textiles, sculpture and drawing, Claire investigates patterns in habits, language and dreams, to reveal a conversation about the definition of making. Discussing the process of repetition, deconstruction and transformation to influence conceptual decisions in art that are made in chain reaction. Through this, it creates a body of work that becomes enriched with experience and knowledge that communicates and affects our society.
Claire studied BA (Hons) Fine Art at Arts University Bournemouth. Completing residencies at The Reading Room, Create Pembrokeshire (2018), RHOD Residency, Carmarthen (2017) and Locator 25 with Simon Whitehead (2017). Recent exhibitions include Made in Roath (2017),
