Matt White
Matt's highly polished video pieces display an interest in the technology itself and a fascination with its longevity, on screen as a narrative and its particular archival lifespan. His subject matter however is not the technology itself but very deeply human. Examining longevity in an artistic context seems futile but linking it with the longevity of both the viewer and subject lends it gravitas. His work raises questions in the minds of the audience so that we are forced to fill in the blanks, to draw conclusions about the relationships we are viewing and to consider the technical trickery used during production.Matt is currently studying for his MA in Cardiff and lives and works in Bristol.
