Peters' practice is erratic, elusive, unpredictable, shifting and fleeting. Despite this he is highly methodical in his approach and the rationale behind much of his work is the dialectic of opposites. His methodical approach and patience lend the pieces an intensity of meaning and effect.
For his wall-based piece at g39 he took the coverage instructions of the emulsion tins literally, dividing the coverage of the white progressively into the black to return from black to white.
