Description: `Rapid Formations` is an exhibition of work in which the creation process has been guided, either partially or completely, by a system or set of rules that were predetermined by the artist. The use of predefined systems as a salient characteristic within an artwork`s creation is a methodology, not a style. Thus, the artists who realise work in this manner pass through many of the various movements of the modernist and post-modernist period and have no stylistic or material qualities uniting their work.
