Description: David Nash is one of Britain`s leading young sculptors and he is rapidly achieving international status with works in private and public collections in Britain, Europe, North America and Japan. Blaenau Ffestiniog in Wales is his spiritual home, where he has established a house and studio, at Rhiw Chapel, wich has been described as a `large Nash sculpture`. The Yorkshire Sculpture Park Fellowship was planned to offer support and encouragement to an artist for one year. For Nah the Y.S.P. has provided a base and a continuous point of reference throughout the year. Projects and ideas which started here were later developed in Japan, Holland and other venues and have now been further extended at Bretton.
