Celtic Triangle An exhibition of work by young artists from Ireland, Scotland and Wales-large

Celtic Triangle An exhibition of work by young artists from Ireland, Scotland and Wales

Author: Celtic Triangle
Category: Catalogue
Publisher: Celtic Triangle
Year: 1970
Subject: Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Artists, Arts Council
Description: Celtic Triangle is the first exhibition to be mounted jointly by the Arts Councils of Ireland, Scotland and Wales. It is appropriate therefore that it comprises the work of young artists whose established talent indicates the scope of contemporary two-dimensional art in each country.
Symbolising this co-operative venture is the Celtic knot, a device derived from an earlier age of Celtic art and illustrative of the bonds of blood and culture which have united the countries for centuries.
Wales is first host to the exhibition, which will tour throughout the Celtic countries and then be shown in England.

Comes as a series of 12 leaflets in a binder.
