Description: Whitefriars is located within Canterbury`s medieval city walls; it is a 12 acre site that was once home to the Austin Friars. In the early 1980`s, the site owners Canterbury City Council and Land Securities Plc recognised that, working in partnership, they could redevelop Whitefriars in a more appropriate and sustainable way. This booklet celebrates the temporary art programme and announces a new permanent work by artist Kenny Hunter.
