Description: The Welsh Committee of the Arts Council has organised open exhibitions each year since the festival began in 1951. At that time there were few opportunities for Welsh Artists to show their work, but more recently a number of commercial galleries have been established in Wales, and the work of Welsh artists is being shown increasigly in London and elswhere.
