Stevie MacKinnon-Smith's practice is primarily text-based and in it she tries to explore relationships between language, meaning and lived experience.
'I’m interested in the ways we find meaning in art, and the openings and obstacles, and the structures that organise them, that we come across on the way towards it.
I recently graduated from Goldsmiths University studying History of Art where I developed an interest in phenomenology and the relationships between actual and imagined realities. This feeds into my practice, along with a love of both theoretical and fictional writing and the spaces in between the two.'
