Kristina Leko is a widely respected Croatian artist, having exhibited nationally and internationally. She works mainly with video and photography, which she uses to document her engagements with social patterns and commerce, and to comment on Croatian identity.
Central to Leko´s practice are her social and documentary projects. Acting as an initiator and mediator, she helps ordinary people construct their own personal stories through video. With a rare generosity of spirit, Leko dedicates herself to sharing her artistic and technological skills with others, who belong to diverse, and often socially disadvantaged groups.
Leko exhibits internationally, with upcoming projects including Suprematism on the Square, where Leko covered all adverts, logos and billboards in Zagreb's main square with black cloth.
