Shannon Reed

Shannon Reed’s work is the investigation into ephemeral events / happening in sculpture. His working method runs parallel to scientific methodology, which set parameters that help define the effect of his outcomes.

Shannon’s praxis involves the exploration of mystic truths and often the forming of new ones. Through his ongoing study of epistemology his work examines the nature of knowledge by combining disparate objects and complex belief systems which often employ notions of poetic happenings. Reed describes his individual workings as components that help formulate a yet to be discovered meta-narrative.

Shannon is currently studying towards his Masters in Fine Arts at Massey University, Wellington, New Zealand. Shannon is a founding member of The Russian Frost Farmers, a multifaceted Wellington based Artist Initiative.

The artist was in the following exhibition:
GOLDEN ROD Adorned Log
