At g39 we are big believers in sharing knowledge and information as a way of strengthening the community.

We are pleased to announce the release of a new series of Artist Resources. Last year we commissioned four artists to make a contribution to our online resources. The artists we have commissioned have responded by generously offering resources that cover a wide range of topics.

Gaia Redgrave - Kindness
A film about welcoming people with autism and sensory processing difficulties, to the gallery setting.

Gaia has produced a resource for artists, curators and those working in the arts to understand the difficulties experienced by those to have sensory processing issues due to autism. She explores how best to work with those individuals.

She gives us ways to minimise exclusion and avoid negative impacts on their physical and mental wellbeing. Sensory overload can result in anything from embarrassment to mental collapse and an inability to cope with the environment. The film offers simple processes that can be put in place to enable a positive, inclusive environment.

Gaia is a neurodiverse artist based in Pembrokeshire with sensory processing issues who has frequently experienced exclusion from arts projects and spaces. She works mainly in film, immersive installation & performance and has exhibited widely. She recently spoke at the Unlimited: Making Space (2020) conference. She has been chosen to be one of Oriel Davies's new Associate Artists.
