Mylo Elliott, Tao Colour
Mylo has a practice that spans street art and creative writing. His work makes reference to street art and vibrant graffiti tags, their manipulation of letters and words and their place on the fringes of the art world. Mylo is interested in how accessible, or not, words are for people.
'My art examines languages that we have been given and the possibilities in finding and framing meaning that writers communicate in this shared city space. The organisation of experience into neat terms and phrases has become a poetic thing while the articulation of written words has helped push the boundaries of the language of painting.'
Mylo has recently presented work at the Hearth Gallery in University Hospital Llandough and the Cardiff Metropolitan University.
The artist was in the following exhibition: UNITe 2019
