Abigail Reynolds’ assemblages of glass, industrial materials, pages from books, and photographs address issues to do with the land and rural affairs, but they are not a primarily ecological preoccupation. Rather, they consider how the land in the UK has been socialized, and how agriculture as well as environment has recently maintained in Britain.
Abigail graduated from Chelsea College of Art in 2000 with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art, and then from Goldsmiths in 2002 with an MA in Fine Art. She exhibits widely and often, and has undertaken several residencies including Rambert Dance Company in London (2012-14), Serpentine Gallery (2005-06), Oxford English Dictionary (2003-05, supported by Leverhulme Trust). She has taken part in several panel discussions on radio and within gallery programmes.
