After studying for a PhD in the chemistry of artificial diamond, and a brief stint working on the development of what was to become Blu-ray disc technology, Simon now lives and works in north Wales as a freelance designer, photographer and illustrator.

His artistic work, inspired by a lifetime of never quite fitting in, deals mainly with recontextualising the otherwise familiar.

Notable exhibitions and performances include Festival Materiais Diversos, Minde, Portugal, Experimentica & May You Live In Interesting Times, Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff, Oriel Davies, Newtown, Conwy Feast, Conwy and Galeri Caernarfon. Simon was shortlisted for the Oriel Davies Open 2012.
